A recent trip to the Hocking Hills in Southern Ohio brought plenty of opportunities to bird watch. Luckily, the cabin where we stayed put out a suet feeder, so the birds came to us. Here are a few photos of the ones we commonly see there.
I managed to get a few shots of this Downy Woodpecker before he saw me standing on the back porch.
Here’s another regular visitor, the Nuthatch. I love the way they hop up and down the tree trunk.
Other birds we often see are the Tufted Titmouse and the Black Capped Chickadee. We also spotted a group of four wild Turkeys crossing the road in front of our truck. We saw them just in time and they safely crossed the road.
