Heading home

Our trip to the cabin was short and sweet–each year we tell ourselves we need to stay an extra few days.  As much as we hate to leave,  the drive home is a scenic one through the Ohio country-side.  You’ll see from the photos why we love to call this state our home.

A snowy drive through the hills of Southern Ohio.

A very light snow covers the foothills.

Entering farm country.

I never tire of seeing and photographing old barns.

This is Hubby’s favorite, the round barn.

An old school converted into a house.

Another favorite of mine, old churches.

This one especially caught my eye. The windows are beautiful.

We even caught a glimpse of Smokey the Bear. 🙂

Getting a little closer to home–or at least to our next turn leading us in that direction.

Taking it all in before we head back to our busy lives…thinking again of next year and our return to the cabin in Southern Ohio.
