Bird watching in the woods

Our recent trip to the cabin gave us the chance to do a little bird watching.  There is a suet feeder hanging from the roof of the covered deck and it attracts all sorts of birds.  In the early morning hours as we were packing up to leave, I was so distracted by the birds flocking to the feeder, I had to take some time to snap a few photos.

Tufted Titmice:

Downy Woodpeckers:

White-Breasted Nuthatch:

This Dark- Eyed Junko was a bit camera-shy:

By the end of the morning, I’m not sure exactly who was watching who, but it was a fun flurry of activity and a great way to end the weekend. 🙂
