Crochet for a cause

Inspired by my Uncle Jim who is a WWII veteran, I wanted to find a cause relating to his service, in his honor and one that I could utilize my crochet. When I stumbled across the “Knit Your Bit” campaign, I knew I’d found my cause.
The National WWII Museum has a wonderful program that distributes knit and crochet scarves to veterans who are currently staying in VA hospitals across the U.S. The following link provides all the information and free patterns for anyone who would like to make a scarf to donate:
Knit Your Bit

This is an opportunity for us to give back a little to those who gave (and give) so much.  I hope you’ll join the many volunteers and ‘Knit (or Crochet) Your Bit!’
