A good morning’s work

October is upon us…where did the Summer go? I spent this morning freezing the rest of my okra harvest and the green peppers.  Then it was out to the garden to pick the last of the tomatoes.  They were mostly green, but will ripen nicely in a brown paper bag…to be frozen or canned. We’ve already had a couple of frosts, so the freeze is on its way.  Our neighbor stopped by to give us a big ‘thumbs up’ on our new rural mailbox. We put that up yesterday to replace our broken, plastic one.  Since it’s on our neighbor’s property, across the road, we were happy he liked it.

The sun is shining and it’s a beautiful Fall day…since my garden chores are done for now, I think I’ll spend some time on my crochet…a scarf I’m working on for a gift. More about that later…
